What is an exemplar?

An "exemplar" collectively refers to the signature and seal that electronic notaries will use for online notarizations. This is required in order to become an electronic notary in the State of Nevada.

To receive one, the notary must select an approved Electronic Notary Solution Provider (basically, the platform a notary will use for remote online notarizations). Online Notary Center is one such Provider. This Provider will supply the exemplar containing the necessary signature and seal.

How do I get an exemplar from Online Notary Center?

Here is our step-by-step process for obtaining an exemplar with us.

1. Create an account with Online Notary Center here.
2. Upload your credentials to our Portal. This will include your commission information, digital signature, and other documents.
3. Receive your exemplar when we approve you!

Once you have your exemplar, make sure to upload it to your SilverFlume Portal account so you can be approved as a registered electronic notary.
